I don’t remember this at all
I read Children of the Lamp 12-Sep-2011, eleven years ago, and have absolutely no memory of it now. My Amazon order history shows that I bought the first book The Akhenaten Adventure in paperback 30-Aug-2008. So, apparently it sat on my shelf for three years before I picked it up, I never went on to read more of the series, and I can't remember it now. On that thin basis I'm awarding it three stars, which is probably generous.
