We really need to find out what's been going on in Armorica while Tybalt was hunting a possibly imaginary hope chest. Welcome back to Tybalt's timeline for another step along the winding road to the present day.
Tybalt, having discovered that there is dirty work afoot, with someone trying to deceive Duke Budoc, the father of Tybalt's changeling ward Rozenn, into believing that he has a hope chest. He returns home to find that Rozenn is not there. She appears to have stepped out with her lover Naig. Tybalt, worried, tries to track them down. He follows their scents into the wood, where he discovers a wounded Reynard (that's a shapeshifter who takes on the shape of a fox or a human, in the same way that the Cait Sidhe can be cats or human), whom he supposes to be Naig. Rozenn is nowhere to be seen. Tybalt rescues Naig and learns from her that Rozenn has been taken and by whom. On that cliffhanger we end.
