Insane Clown President: Dispatches from the 2016 Circus
Matt Taibbi
Writing like fireworks
Matt Taibbi's writing deserves a prize. Indeed, it has won some. He sparks out of the page at you. He also has the virtue, too rare among modern USA journalists, of not being afraid to have an opinion or tell you what it is. (I mean to say, ALL journalists have opinions, but mostly they are sneaky about revealing them.)
Obviously, YOU, the reader of this review, also have opinions, and those opinions will affect what you think of this book, Insane Clown President. The title refers to Donald Trump. In case there is any doubt, Taibbi is not a fan. If you are, you may find it impossible to appreciate Taibbi's writing. But perhaps not. Invective, well-done, can be a delight, even if you don't agree with it.
